Khloé Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson pulled a classic remorseful ex move, posting a very public birthday tribute to Khloé on his Instagram. While she liked the photo, Khloé and her family don’t quite get why he wrote anything to begin with and question Tristan’s motives, according to People.
Khloé “didn’t really get why he posted it,” a source told the outlet. “They have a child together, but are not together. Her family thinks he posted it because he wants to make himself look good. Tristan and Khloé co-parent True, but that’s it.”
Tristan wrote a very gushy caption about Khloé on the photo he shared of her and their daughter True Thompson. “Happy birthday @khloekardashian,” his post started. “You are the most beautiful human I have ever met inside and out. Thank you for being an amazing mommy to our princess True. She is blessed to have someone like you to look up to. I wish you nothing but more success and sending you positive blessing your way. Enjoy your day Koko ❤️”
People was also told by its source that a reconciliation between Khloé and Tristan, who have weathered two public cheating scandals because of Tristan’s infidelity, is never ever going to happen. Like, ever. “She would never go back with Tristan,” the outlet’s source said. “She knows that he will never change.”
Keeping Up With the Kardashians is currently airing the episodes surrounding Thompson’s cheating scandal with Jordyn Woods. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight this week, Khloé explained why she wasn’t watching the episodes and that she didn’t want anyone to bully the people involved in the scandal.
“I personally don’t watch it back because… I already know what happens and it’s just a little too toxic for me to keep reliving stuff like that, so I stay off social [media],” she started. “I didn’t watch it. And it’s just a part of our job that we kind of have to do, so we can’t just pick and choose what we want to show. That’s not fair. And so it’s just what it is.”
She later explained that “bashing either side is not cool for me. I don’t think there needs to be negativity anywhere. I think it’s just a story being told, but anybody picking a side or… condemning any human, I think this is a part of life. I’m not saying it’s a good part.”
